Kerr Village and Bronte Village Streetscape and Public Realm Study
Oakville, ONThe Planning Partnership was retained by the Town to carry out the Streetscape and Public Realm Study for Kerr Village and Bronte Village, through an extensive public engagement process.
This project demonstrates our team’s expertise in taking a high-level concept to a fine-grained, block-by-block design, integrating transportation and infrastructure and input from staff and the public. Analysis of existing conditions and mapping helped to identify street typologies, site constraints and existing and planned contexts, upon which detailed demonstration plans were developed.
The final master plan reports for both villages include recommendations for the mixed-use main street, residential streets, residential/mixed-use transitions, and open space edges. This includes paving, planting, street furniture, lighting and on-street parking along with recommendations for phasing.
